Pastured Poultry
From Our Family's Farm to Your Family's Fridge

In the spring of 2008, we added poultry to the farm. Laying hens and turkeys are allowed to free range during the day, foraging for green grass, seeds and insects. This “salad bar” approach to their diet improves the flavor and texture of the meat and the eggs they produce. Our meat birds are housed in large pens (about 40 per pen) and moved daily onto fresh forage. The pens help protect them from predation and still allow them to benefit from foraging. Both poultry and fresh eggs are available on the farm.
